My SEO Guy – Moving Office…

As many of you will know we have recently moved the office of Grimpond Marketing and My SEO Guy.  Despite extensive pre-planning and assurances from our connection providers, we have had nothing but headaches since the move, and have been without connection for some time.

In addition to that we have had continued power issues that have also been unresolved until today…

Cold Calling SEO’s and their myths

Cold Call SEOI had an SEO client in Brisbane contact me yesterday after their received a “cold call” from an SEO company.

The client said that the “SEO Company” had explained that they would be able to get the client’s website from page 3 in the Google SERPs,  to page 1  in just one day.

Not bad…  and the client wanted to know why we couldn’t do the same?

 

As I told the client…  there are a few “myths”(I am using the word myth..  but you know what I mean!)  in what the “SEO Company” guy had said,and some tell tale holes in his story indicated that they did not really have a clue what they were talking about.

Still getting Search Engine/SEO Spam

I am still getting my emails from a certain SEO Company that shall remain nameless…  even though I never signed up to their ‘news” in the first place and have unsubscribed via their link.  Which appears to not work, so I keep getting their little gems that I have previously mentioned.

So what little gem have we received this week…?

Over the weekend Google rolled out the Penguin 3.0 update to the web.
This update has shifted search results and has a lot of webmasters
waiting to see where their rankings will settle.

Google Updates and On-Page SEO

Magnifying Glass -  Internet MarketingI received a little SPAM email from an SEO company based in Sydney this week(or was it last week?) and I always find it interesting when SEO Companies and Consultants have to resort to email spamming to increase their client base..

Remeber!  The first rule about email spam remains..

Rule Number 1. Don’t do business with email spammers – It only confirms their “marketing” method.
